Watch this blog for many more uses for vinegar, lemon, baking soda and borax. ‘Cause you’re right, they sometimes work as well if not better than detergent-based solutions. As to vacuums that filter through water, they are excellent! Expensive, but excellent. Rainbow is the only manufacturer I know of, but there may well be others. Do any of you know of other manufacturers, or have feedback on water filter vacuums?

Do vacuum cleaning with vacuums that filter all dust etc. through water. As EcoGirl wrote, natural cleaners like vinegar, lemon, baking soda, or even borax work great and are safer than detergent-based solutions.

instead of purchasing commercial green cleaners, I make my own using vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda. They work just as good and are much cheaper
